Okay, I know that some people love to feel like victims, and wish to be pitied. This can be a perfectly fine way to explore a lifetime. But receiving this kind of "help" has nothing to do with becoming a skilled empath.
3. Whichever system to help empaths you choose, or blog you read, or book you read, or teacher(s) you study with, or healer you ask to help, PLEASE use your consumer smarts. Are you just being given a rehash of things that psychotherapists have talked about for years? I'm a fan of therapy and counseling, but not necessarily for helping empaths develop an effective skill set.
But you might be just as much an empath if you have a gift that is spiritual, intellectual, physical, animal, environmental, mechanical, crystal, plant,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], even molecular.
I'm sharing this idea because I'm someone whose commitment to this field runs so deep that she has obtained a trademark for a systematic way to help empaths -- and Empath Empowerment(R) is the only trademark of this kind now in America. Being an empath is different from being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) or being an "emotional person" or many other things,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Did you know?

Here's what we're going to do at this blog post. We're going to list empaths who are effective in life, one way or another -- public figures to some degree, whether they are politicians or writers or actors or musicians or community organizers. I'll kick things off with a list of 20.

Notice this important point, "Naturally talented" does not mean "Naturally skilled." Just the opposite.

* Who cares? Unskilled empaths constantly pick up STUFF from others. That STUFF goes all the way into people's auras, creating problems at a subconscious level. * Some problems, the unskilled empath will be aware of. Mostly, the unskilled empath won't even know about... but that won't keep the empath from suffering.

Okay, I'll be blunt. This is a way to become a weaker person, since more and more people must be avoided as time goes on.

Dr Herbert Benson of Harvard University, author of The Relaxation Response teaches his patients a form of meditation. He finds that the use of this technique for 20 minutes twice a day aids a whole host of measurable clinical factors, such as lowered blood pressure, lowered heart and breathing rate, decreased oxygen consumption, and profound muscle relaxation. Dr Benson has further refined the technique by adding the element of prayer to the meditative technique. He has the person pick a word or phrase that has religious or philosophical meaning in their personal belief system. He finds that adding the ‘faith factor’ to the relaxation response increases its effectiveness.
The power of the mind to influence the body is beyond question; a negative mental attitude can threaten one’s health, and a positive mental attitude will trigger changes within the body that promote health and healing. Thus, while research shows that social isolation is a major health risk factor, it also shows that people who do volunteer work are much less likely to suffer illness. The close interpersonal relationships and community involvement that occur with volunteer service are tailor-made to enhance the healing process.
Dr Albert Schweitzer, the medical missionary,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], commented: "The only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve". Considering the implications of the PNI research, we might extend this to include altruistic service of some kind as an essential element of becoming truly healthy.
Cancer is a disease that is influenced by the stress response. One researcher found that the majority of cancer patients had a severe emotional trauma early in life, such as the loss of a parent. Other research suggests that cancer patients have difficulty expressing their emotions. One can speculate that pent-up emotional energy finds its outlet in the manifestation of cancer.
Dr Carl Simonton, a cancer specialist, in his book Getting Well Again, outlines visualization techniques to strengthen the healing response. He has the patient mentally image the white blood cells fighting and destroying the cancer cells. He finds that the ability to image a positive outcome is essential if the disease process is to reverse. When patients have difficulty with the visualization and has a negative expectation about their treatment, invariably the outcome is poor. However, when patients are successful in turning around a negative self-attitude with creative visualization the results can be remarkable.
The boy’s mother grieved for the loss of her son, but she also transformed her grief into a service to her community. While she could not regain her son, she worked to prevent a similar tragedy. This woman trained and became an Emergency Medical Technician. After completing her training she raised money to purchase an ambulance and trained volunteers to help her. It is estimated that this volunteer ambulance service has saved the lives of over 100 people that might have died, as her son did, due to a lack of emergency care. When interviewed,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this woman said, "It’s easier to forget your own loss when you are busy helping others."
Medical scientists are beginning to discover what this woman already knows: that there is healing power in helping others. This new field of specialization,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], psychoneuroimmunology or PNI for short,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], researches the power of the mind to influence health and healing. This research has produced some startling results. IgA is an antibody that helps the body defend itself from infection. Harvard psychologist David McClelland measured this antibody in students before and after watching a film on Mother Teresa,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Nobel Prize laureate, for her work helping the homeless. Dr McClelland found that merely watching a film on selfless service strengthened the immune response in the students.
While Chinese and Indian medicine have long considered the mind and the body as inseparable, Western science since the time of Descartes has viewed the mind and body as separate unrelated entities. The PNI research is providing concrete evidence that this separation is artificial and erroneous. Studies have traced direct neurological pathways between the brain and the immune system. This mental surrender leads to a weakening of immune function. Considering the direct links between the brain and the immune system, this is not surprising. It appears that mentally giving up does not cause cancer so much as it allows cancer to develop.

In all likelihood his death could have been prevented if an ambulance and trained medical personnel had been available. However, this small town was too poor to afford these services.

Exceptional patients are sometimes viewed as being difficult by traditional medicine. Sometimes it is appropriate to care what others think of you and your actions however, it is not healthy to allow your self doubts to stop you from doing what you really want to do.
Whenever you feel self doubt, ask yourself, “In what ways will taking action on this desire enhance my life and the life of others?” If you come up with good, solid answers to this question you should move forward. If you cannot come up with any ways in which your actions will enhance your life and the lives of others, you should definitely not take the action.
Knowing that you are spending your time and energy doing things to enhance your life and the lives of others will help you to more easily accept abundance into your life.
9. CHOOSE What Kind of Person You Want to “BE”
Even if you don’t know what you want to do with your life and even if you don’t know your “purpose in life”, you still have the power to decide what kind of person you want to “BE”. You always have the power to decide if you want to walk through your day BEing a compassionate and caring person, BEing a loving and kind person,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], BEing a decisive and strong person, or whatever else you may want to “BE”.
In the same way that you would ask yourself “What do I want to accomplish today?” you can also ask yourself “What kind of person do I want to “BE” today?"
BEing the person you want to be every day and in all situations will make you feel proud of yourself and significantly increase your authentic sense of worthiness for allowing abundance into your life,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
There are many ways to keep your energy door open and allow abundance into your life.
10. Express Gratitude
Expressing gratitude for what you have in the present moment is a wonderfully powerful way to open yourself up to receiving even more of the good stuff you do want to attract.
There are many personal stories of people whose lives were changed in positively miraculous ways as a result of their decision to consciously express gratitude for what they have in the present moment. Express your genuine gratitude and you may see positively miraculous things in your life as well!
8. Forgive (for YOU, not them!)
Many people resist doing forgiveness work because it feels as forgiveness means that you are condoning, disregarding or pardoning someone's bad behavior. I have a rather unique view of forgiveness that I would like to share with you.
I believe that forgiveness work is NEVER, EVER about condoning or excusing someone else’s bad behaviors! Forgiveness is about clearing out the negative crap, goop and garbage the offender left behind when they contaminated your space. I believe that forgiveness is literally for YOU.
So... do the forgiveness work for YOU! Do the work so that you can clear away their old crap that is blocking the flow of your energy. Exorcise the crap they dumped on you so you can get on with the enjoyment of your life,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!
